UMORU MUSA YAR'ADUA REST IN PEACE
We are understandably saddened by the news of the demise of Alhaji Umoru Musa Yar'Adua erstwhile President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family and love ones.
We also condole Nigerians in general on his demise which necessarily must impact one way or the other on the nation. His unanticipated demise is a political game changer. The nation must draw from his death important lessons which to us must be the epitaph we owe him. Those who drafted him into the Presidential race from rural Katsina when he did not overtly seek that office owe the nation an explanation and sanction where necessary.
Those that held him hostage and shrouded his health situation in utmost secrecy for so long must account to the nation. The nation demands answers and are entitled to collect.
We must also resolve that never again should the public affairs of this nation be turned into a domestic matter.
